In a small village in Belgium, in the province of Luxembourg, in the heart of the Saint-Hubert forests, you will find the Château de Mirwart. Formerly built as a castle in the 8th century, the Château de Mirwart has become an exceptional, exclusive boutique hotel.

The Château de Mirwart is one of the most interesting and exclusive hotel openings in Europe.

Mirwart, a small village in the middle of the forests of the Ardennes, is considered one of the ‘most beautiful villages of Wallonia’ and is surrounded by 1,350 hectares of forest.  Perched on a rock in the valley of the river ‘L’homme’ the castle was a bastion of the Ducal Tower of Lorraine.

Since its beginnings, the castle’s domain has been the subject of disagreement – and even warfare. Various noble families bought and sold the estate over the centuries. When the castle was finally sold to the province of Luxembourg after the Second World War, things quickly went downhill. The building was looted and increasingly fell into disrepair.

Today the castle shines in the finest 21st century splendour. With much love, effort and enthusiasm, Mirwart Castle has been restored as a boutique hotel, with great respect for its past and great confidence in its future.

The “boutique” accommodations are located in three separate buildings, each with its own typical atmosphere. Château de Mirwart has 20 residences with different atmospheres. Castle suites, garden-balcony suites and the “Tour de Dinant”, a former fortified tower. The surroundings of the Château de Mirwart inspired the interior design of the rooms.

The Château de Mirwart stands for authenticity, also in the culinary area. Chef Nick Van den Broeck cooks a cuisine of intuition, creativity and experimentation with new dishes. When it comes to ingredients, he relies on refined techniques, but also on a love of the essentials. Respect for the basics, love for what is real and true.

Escape from everyday life, come to the Château de Mirwart and treat yourself to an enchanting stay in this idyllic setting.
