"Blessed" is the translation of "Sois Blessed". And whoever presents himself with this claim in the city centre of Munich has courage! And a vision! In this respect, this concept store is anything but ordinary. It sees itself as a "value store" that wants to contribute to a better world with its own non-profit collections.

Behind a large, black door hides “SoisBlessed” (Prannerstraße), let’s say the most important of Munich’s concept stores. Here, owner Ruth Gombert sets a clear focus on up-and-coming designers, fairly produced clothing, accessories and furniture.

For “Sois Blessed” Ruth Gombert only works with selected brands; those whose products tell a story. And sometimes most importantly, Gombert also sells her own collection here, which was designed under the name “Sois Blessed” by pupils from a South African school. The Hope School is located in the Eastern Cape Province and is a drop-in center for children infected with HIV. Gombert and her team visited the school and painted with the students – printing the results on Italian silk. The profits from the “Sois Blessed” collection go permanently and 100 percent to the South African school – “to give something back,” says Gombert simply.
