KADINE – one of the most legendary fragrances from the house of GUERLAIN, first launched in 1911, celebrates its 110th anniversary in 2021. A fragrance that reflects the spirit of the times and was once shaped by the influence of Art Deco.
GUERLAIN celebrates this milestone this September with a strictly limited reissue of the iconic fragrance. Out of respect for the fragrance’s history, master perfumer Thierry Wasser has reinterpreted the iconic KADINE, largely sticking to the original formula. Even after more than a century, he manages to innovate the complex composition of KADINE in accordance with contemporary standards. As the torch is passed from one perfumer of the house to the next, a never-ending story is created, an eternal beginning in which the fragrances of yesterday, are (re)revived today.
KADINE is deliberately feminine and embodies the quintessence of femininity in a fragrance that is entirely GUERLAIN. It is the pinnacle of sophistication. An extrait de parfum with a composition that reflects two expressions of femininity. Its delicate side is underlined by powdery and floral notes, while the strong, intense dimension is expressed by leathery vanilla notes.
The classic flacon resembles the original: originally made of crystal, the transparent glass body quickly became a classic. The legendary creation is adorned with geometric contours and elaborate appliqués, such as the famous laurel label. Like a perfect jewellery box for the fragrance, the case honours the KADINE bottle, majestically revealing the label through a small carved window.
The new edition of the iconic fragrance KADINE (30ml, 690€ RRP) will be available exclusively at Oberpollinger Munich and KaDeWe Berlin from September 1st in a strictly limited edition.
