Especially in childhood, it is important to deal with grief in a timely manner in order to avoid negative consequences of unprocessed grief in adulthood. During the pandemic, existing grief groups were only held online and new groups could only start in presence. The new LACRIMA rooms were completely furnished during spring 2022 and can now be used together with the respective parent cafés.
The new facilities include a creative room with a fully equipped kitchen at two working heights, with cupboards for working materials, work tables, chairs and a cloakroom. The new relaxation room has been furnished with comfortable beanbags, a reclining area, special lighting technology and a music system. It is a space for arriving and a space for rest and meditation. The multifunctional room provides space for movement, movement games and the use of thematic media. Due to the central location of the LACRIMA rooms and the optimally equipped rooms for practical work, more affected families can be reached and accompanied in the medium term.
