Stephan Boya – sustainable luxury cashmere fashion with cool elegance and modern colors

A feel-good place for fashion lovers in Munich - that's probably the best way to describe the new concept store of German cashmere label Stephan Boya. In the store at Kosttor 2, located around the corner from Maximiliansstraße, you will find cuddly soft cashmere pieces that stand for timeless chic.

The luxurious creations with clear silhouettes and loose cuts are available for women and men - from cozy turtlenecks to stylish cardigans and sweaters. The colors are classic and modern at the same time. For the fall/winter 2021 collection called "Clarity," that means warm sunshine yellow, dark rosewood, pine green and deep brown, among others.

"Now for fall and winter, we're combining different knit textures and cable knits or moss stitch with jersey," designer Glenda Scipio tells us. "Each piece is meant to satisfy a desire for warmth and security." Fittingly, Stephan Boya's slogan is "Wear Our Cashmere Naked," because all the pieces are true skin-flatterers, wonderfully soft and cuddly.

The "Luxury Loungewear Capsule Collection" by Stephan Boya also ensures an optimal feel-good flair with cuddly jogging pants, casual knitted coats as well as cozy blankets and socks - of course also made of 100 percent cashmere and even machine washable (in the wool wash program at a maximum of 30 degrees).

The material is sustainably sourced in Inner Mongolia and manufactured in Nepal in an equally resource-friendly way. "When a product is made from one of the highest-quality natural fibers of all, you also have to be particularly responsible with it," says Glenda Scipio. For her and her business partner Stephan Fahning, it goes without saying that the offspring of the factory employees are offered childcare along with school fees and transportation. "There is a lot of empathy there in Nepal - we are also regularly on site and colleagues and business partners have become friends," Stephan Fahning tells us.

The sustainable production of the cashmere creations also consists of producing small quantities. "Each piece is produced only by pre-order to prevent oversupply," says Glenda Scipio.

The couple founded their Stephan Boya brand in Hamburg in 2009. In addition to the online store, the classy creations are also available at the traditional Munich store Lodenfrey and other exclusive retailers in Germany. This was followed in 2018 by the flagship store on Sylt, and in 2020 by the store in Munich's old town.

The central location and bright interior with lots of wood make for a relaxed shopping experience. "We want our customers to feel comfortable in the store, to linger there and try on their favorite pieces at their leisure," says Glenda Scipio. "Our pieces are also very versatile and can be worn at home on the sofa, but also in the evening when going to the theater or to a chic restaurant," adds Stephan Fahning.

Exclusive accessories such as scented candles, bed linen as well as handmade bast bags by the label Ibeliv from Madagascar complete the assortment of the new Stephan Boya store - simply a place to feel good.
