In Bad Kissingen, guests traditionally receive their healing water from a fountain-woman.

The bronze-coloured medicinal water pipes and the unique architecture make time stand still for a moment as you enter the light-flooded Wandelhalle. A calm and relaxed atmosphere prevails in this place, where guests in Bad Kissingen can give their health the attention it deserves and strengthen their immune system by drinking healing water. To ensure that every guest receives the right healing water, the fountain women like Sabine Krimmel provide advice and serve one of Bad Kissingen’s healing waters according to their needs.

The well women of Bad Kissingen are part of a long tradition. They have been serving the unique mineral-rich healing water from the seven springs since the 1830s. The Wandelhalle with its integrated Brunnenhalle was opened in 1911, and since then the Brunnenfrauen have been offering healing water, heated on request and without natural carbon dioxide. A typical working day begins at 6.30 a.m. with preparations, and the water is served daily from 7-9 a.m. and from 4-6 p.m. on weekdays. In addition to cleaning, the well women advise guests on choosing the right healing water.

To become a well woman, you need an interest in natural remedies. Sabine Krimmel, a well woman, emphasises the joy of bringing guests closer to the special gift of nature. She has previous medical knowledge and emphasises the importance of experience and exchange with medical professionals. The exchange between the well women makes it easier to advise guests.

There are various offers to experience the world of Bad Kissingen’s healing springs, such as healing water tastings and guided tours. The digital healing water tour provides an overview of the healing waters. The healing waters are also present in the town, from the pools of the KissSalis Therme to the brine inhalation at the graduation house.

In addition to the healing waters, Bad Kissingen also offers cultural highlights such as the annual Rakoczy Festival in summer. The historic buildings, Mediterranean parks and cultural offerings make Bad Kissingen a charming place. Sabine Krimmel recommends the spa garden and the rose garden as favourite places.
