The 2024 edition, which took place from 11 to 14 July, showcased a variety of luxury vehicles with Alcantara interiors, demonstrating the material’s ability to take automotive design to new heights.

Starting with new debuts, the protagonist of the McLaren House is the McLaren Senna with the livery Senna Sempre, dedicated to Ayrton Senna, the famous racing driver. The colours selected for the paintwork reflect the hues of the Brazilian flag. Inside, the exclusive yellow Alcantara upholstery with green perforations and a white marker at 12 o’clock on the steering wheel immediately catches the eye. The door sills of the black Alcantara-covered doors are decorated with Ayrton Senna’s signature and his quote explaining his ethics and philosophy: “I have no idols. I admire work, dedication and competence.”

The cars on display also include the McLaren Artura and the McLaren F1 Road Car, both of which feature Alcantara in the interior.
All eyes were also on BMW to see the presentation of the new BMW M5 and BMW X3. The long-standing collaboration between Alcantara and BMW is emphasised by the presence of the Made-in-Italy material in black on both cars: on the headlining and pillars of the M5 and with a textile underlay woven with blue and red threads on the seats of the BMW X3.

Following its global premiere, the Hispano Suiza Carmen Boulogne made its dynamic debut at the iconic Goodwood Festival of Speed 2024 Hillclimb to celebrate the brand’s 120th anniversary. The electric hypercar with a bold design and sporty character features perforated black Alcantara with an orange background in the centre of the seats and door panels as well as black Alcantara on the steering wheel and dashboard.
Alcantara was also presented in other premium cars, starting with the Italian Alfa Romeo. The 33 Stradale and the new Alfa Romeo Junior were shown for the first time in Great Britain.

Alcantara was also featured in other premium cars such as the Lotus Emira, Emeya and Eletre as well as the electric Hyundai Ioniq 5N.
Whilst the Goodwood Festival of Speed remains one of the biggest highlights in the automotive calendar for car manufacturers and enthusiasts, Alcantara remains at the forefront as a privileged automotive partner and unique luxury brand, demonstrating its ability to create an outstanding, visually stunning and versatile product.
