Major works by Vincent van Gogh, Claude Monet, Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Alberto Giacometti, Mark Rothko, Andy Warhol and Louise Bourgeois are juxtaposed with works by contemporary artists such as Marlene Dumas, Felix Gonzalez-Torres, Tacita Dean and Rachel Whiteread. The exhibition thus offers a unique opportunity to experience the Fondation Beyeler’s collection in all its impressive quality and depth.

This anniversary exhibition is enriched by the integration of hyperrealistic sculptures by the important US artist Duane Hanson (1925-1996). He is one of the most influential representatives of post-war American sculpture and is considered the founder of Hyperrealism within Pop Art. From the late 1960s onwards, the artist created life-size human figures that fascinate with their almost lifelike realism.

The anniversary exhibition can be seen until 08.01.2023.
